Jaquelina Díaz de León Rodríguez

Jaque Jours (Mexico City, 1992) found out her passion for traditional painting techniques and book illustration after studying Architecture & Interior Design and a master’s degree in Literature. Jaque’s work finds beauty in everyday life scenes, she fixes her gaze where no one is looking. She makes the familiar something worth picturing.

One of my favorite quotes is <<Great things are […] done by a series of small things brought together>> by Vincent Van Gogh. The bees are the clearest example: if they stopped doing the little things they do, the impact would be brutal.
We usually think small changes won’t help the world but […] although it seems pointless to try to save just a few penguins, to paint one poster, or saving just one tiger […] small things can make all the difference.
